Trusting change isn’t easy… I will probably never start the process if I can’t see the need for change. Restoration starts when I can look directly into the condition of my life and admit I need help.

I love the first two verses of psalm 121…

“I look up to the mountains does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made the heavens and the earth.”

I find encouragement in these words as the psalmist ponders the Sovereignty of God. How mighty the mountains must have seemed on the ascent to Jerusalem… As we are looking for restoration in our lives it is easy to look up from our condition to only see the mountains and the long journey ahead. We see the rocky path of the steep terrain. When our focus is on the mountains and not on God it is easy to lose all hope of ever making progress.

But if  we look to God the Creator of the heavens and the earth than we can find strength for our journey and victory in God who watches over every step, as He leads our path into perfect unity with Him.
