Weakness an Opportunity

God is a loving Father who wants the best for our lives. He wants us to live in freedom and experience the peace that only he can give. The Bible says in Galatians 1: 4

“Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live.”

Jesus understands our struggles. When he walked this earth he went through the same human emotions we experience. He can sympathize with our weaknesses and understand our temptations.

Hebrews 4:15 says…

“For we do not have a high priest (Jesus Christ) who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.”

You can  be encouraged to know that… Our weakness is an opportunity for his grace to strengthen us.

In 2 Corinthians 12 Paul states…

“When I am weak, then I am strong” That’s hard to get our mind around. We want to be in control, to hold it all together. We want everything to look good even when it’s not good. No one likes it when they feel their lives spinning out of control. We may struggle with our situation but we can trust this… Whatever brings us to our knees will open the door for Gods grace to begin to work.

Paul’s contentment in his weaknesses was founded in his understanding that Gods power was greater than his weakness…Our weaknesses will show us our need for God but they also open the door for growth, dependence, faith and God’s power to be seen in our lives.
